Your Community provides a number of rich opportunities to both listen and proactively communicate with the entire student body. As with any social tool, your staff and student leaders can help create a “buzz” by encouraging students to engage with the community in a variety of ways.
Here are some ideas to help you get started:
1. Quick Polls
Use Channels and Group Walls in Community to assess student engagement.
2. Photo Contests (e.g. “How I Spent My Summer”)
Encourage students to post in Channels on topics that bring the Student Community Together such as favorite board games, summer weather etc.
To increase student engagement and participation, suggest hashtags and contests to give away prizes and goodies!
